About the Mazos de Orisha
Mazos de Orisha — ritual bundles wrapped by hand in the traditional colours and structure of each Orisha, made for the altar, for devotional practice and for gifting to a godchild.
A mazo is the wrapped bundle that accompanies a devotee's relationship with an Orisha, and the wrapping is done to the tradition's own pattern rather than to a template. We make mazos for Eleguá, Obatalá, Oshún, Shangó, Yemayá, Oyá, Ogún, Orunmila, Babalú Ayé and others, each in the colours that Orisha is given.
Every mazo is handmade and spiritually aligned but not consecrated, so it arrives ready for the preparation a Santero or Santera gives it.
