About the Handmade Orisha Elekes

Handmade Orisha elekes — beaded necklaces strung by hand in the sacred colours of the Orisha they belong to, from Eleguá's red and black to Obatalá's white.

An eleke is the necklace that marks a devotee's relationship with an Orisha, and the colours are not decoration: each Orisha has the strand the tradition gives them. We make elekes for Eleguá, Oshún, Yemayá, Obatalá, Shangó, Orunmila, Ogún, Oyá, Babalú Ayé, Inle, Ochosi and more, with every bead counted and strung by an initiated Santero.

They are handmade and spiritually aligned, but not ritually charged or consecrated — that is given by a godparent or Santero, and the necklace is made ready for it.
