Order & Shipping Information

When you place an order, our payment processor (Base44 Payments, powered by Wix) collects your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and payment details (credit card number, expiration date, and security code). We receive your name, shipping address, email, and phone number to fulfill your order, but we never see or store your full credit card information — that is handled securely by the payment processor.

Browsing Data

We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our site, including your IP address (stored only as an anonymized hash), browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring URLs. This data is used to improve our website and detect fraud.

Communications

When you contact us via our contact form, live chat, or email, we retain the content of your communications and any contact information you provide.

Newsletter & Restock Alerts

3. SMS Text Messaging Terms & Consent

By providing your phone number and consenting to text messages, you agree to receive SMS messages from SanteriaGuide. We offer two categories of text messages, each with separate consent:

Transactional Messages

What they are: Messages about your order — including order confirmations, shipping updates, tracking notifications, and important alerts about your purchase.

Consent: These are sent when you opt in (the "Order & shipping alerts" checkbox, checked by default at registration). You may opt out at any time from your account settings or by replying STOP to any message. Note: opting out of transactional messages means you will not receive shipping or delivery updates via text.

Frequency: Typically 1–3 messages per order, sent only when you place an order and when your order ships.

Marketing Messages

What they are: Promotional messages about special offers, new product arrivals, and seasonal announcements.

Consent: These are sent only when you explicitly opt in (the "Promotions & new arrivals" checkbox, unchecked by default). You may opt out at any time from your account settings or by replying STOP to any message.

Frequency: Message frequency varies — typically no more than 4 messages per month.

General SMS Terms

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any text message from us to opt out of receiving further messages. You may also manage your preferences in your account settings under "Phone & SMS Preferences."
Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at the email listed in Section 8.
Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to messages you receive from us.
Carrier participation: SMS delivery is not guaranteed and depends on carrier participation.
No sharing: We do not sell or rent your phone number to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers: We share order and shipping information with our shipping carrier (EasyPost) and payment processor (Base44 Payments / Wix) to fulfill your orders. These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers or others.
Business transfers: If SanteriaGuide is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Order information is retained for the longer of seven (7) years or as required by tax and accounting laws. Browsing data is retained for a maximum of 24 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6).

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correct: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Delete: Request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
Opt out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email, or opt out of SMS messages as described in Section 3.
Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for SMS text messages at any time from your account settings.
Data portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information using industry-standard security practices. Payment information is encrypted and processed by our payment processor — we never store full credit card numbers. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
